The 'summer' break, what there was of it, seems to be well and truly over with friendly matches now beginning to filter through.
These matches are a good way to get yourself re-tuned into match fitness and gives an opportunity to practice, once again, all of the procedures we need to follow on match day. I hope you enjoy the games that come your way.
During our Coaching slot at our monthly meeting in August, our Coaching Team will cover any changes that have been made to the Laws of the Game. It's a good idea to come along to that meeting to keep you fully up to pace with the changes. There's a few weeks to go yet before the meeting and our Secretary will be sending notice out to all in the near future.
Our Association continues to do well on the European scene. David McGeachie has just returned from Poland where he was part of the Scottish Team of Officials. David was Assistant Referee on the Denmark v Czech Republic match and the Serbia v Macedonia match.
David is to continue his European excursions when he will be Assistant Referee at the UEFA Europa League Qualification Round 2 Leg 1 match between

will be travelling to the Netherlands for the start of the UEFA Women's EURO 2017 Championships on 16 July. Lorraine will be Fourth Official at the competition and our best wishes go with Lorraine to this competition.

In keeping us all fit for our games, our weekly physical training sessions continues every Tuesday evening at the Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre in Glenrothes from 7.15pm on the track. Come along and meet up with your fellow Referees and improve and maintain your fitness level.
Our next intake of Trainees will take place on Monday 21 August 2017 at Fife College, St Brycedale Campus, Kirkcaldy. The course runs for 8-10 from 1815 hours – 2045 hours.
